impressions of archive 01 part 1

昨年より始めた音楽家のduennさんとミニマムな表現にフォーカスする事を目的とした自主企画イベントの２回目にあたる"archive 01"をart space tetraにて開催し、ゲストに小説家の相川英輔氏をお招きして著作の朗読とduennによるサウンドエキシビジョンを行い、私は昨年末に行ったグループ展の作品を元に自作のiPhoneアプリ+プロジェクターという組み合わせによるショートエキシビジョンを同時に行いました。

装置を使った展示はどうしても機材のトラブルの関係上放置する訳にもいかず、プロジェクターやアプリなどの手順が必要な作品は中々発表する事が出来なかったのですが、今回1日だけの展示で常駐する事が出来たのでやってみたかった一つの試みを形にする事が出来ました。

今回は、昨年のグループ展(詳細)にて発表させて頂いたraspberry pi(LED+audio)の作品を元に自作のiPhoneアプリ（openCVを使った輪郭検出+検出した座標の色彩情報(RGB)の数値を周波数に変換して空間を演奏するというコンセプト）を光に反応させプロジェクターで音と映像を流す作品です。
OpenCVの検出のポイント数をあげるとswiftで生成したサウンド（AVAudioEngine）の負荷が上がってアプリが落ちる事象があるのでこの辺り解決出来れば、街の中や自然など散歩しながら風景の音を聞くみたいなアプリをリリース出来たらと思っています。

さて、実際は反省点が多々あり、プロジェクターが途中で落ちたり（これはケーブルが断線していたようで電源ケーブルを変えたら治りました）、色彩と音の変換式が微分音階の形となって凄く不安な音しか出なかったり、プロジェクターがhdmiかAirPlayしか対応していない為音がしょぼかったりと中々道のりは険しそうですが何とかブラッシュアップしていきます。

昼の部（13:00-18:00）はインスタレーションの展示のみで、暗幕を張った空間の中でポツンと一人きりで少し寂しい感じでしたが、石油ストーブの暖かい火と暖色が暗い空間に一筋の光がさすように感じられぼーっと作品の明滅を見ながら来てくれた方と色々とお話させて頂きました。やはり鑑賞者とコミュニケートする事で新たな発見があったり、じっと見つめてもらっている姿を見ているとやはり作品は鑑賞者がいて成り立つのだなと実感させられました。

I could not translate the exhibits using the equipment due to the trouble of the equipment by all means, but the work which required procedures such as projector and application could not be announced in the middle, but in this one exhibition only I was able to reside and I was able to shape one attempt I wanted to do.

This time, I made my own iPhone application based on the work of raspberry pi (LED + audio) that I announced at last year's group exhibition (details) It is a work that reacts light to the light and sends sounds and images with the projector by detecting the contour using openCV + converting the numerical value of the color information (RGB) of the detected coordinates to the frequency and playing the space).
Increasing the number of OpenCV detection points increases the load of the sound (AVAudioEngine) generated by swift and there is a phenomenon that the application drops. If it can be solved in this area, it seems like listening to the sound of the landscape while walking in town and nature I would like to release an application.

Well, in fact, there are many reflection points, and the projector falls along the way (this seemed to have derailed as the cable was derailed, it cured after changing the power supply cable), the conversion formula of color and sound is in the form of differential scales Because only the sound which is very uneasy comes out, or the projector only supports hdmi or AirPlay, the sound is bumpy and mid way road seems to be dangerous but it will somehow brush up.

In the daytime section (13: 00-18: 00) was only an installation exhibition, it was a bit lonely feeling with Potsun only in the space where the black curtain was spanned, but the warm fire and warmth of the oil stove are in a dark space I talked with someone who came while watching the blinking of the work I felt like a light of light shone. After all, by communicating with the viewer, there was a new discovery, or I was watching the figure staring still, I realized that the work is still made with the viewer.
